The main objective of the Company is to generate Shareholder wealth through the discovery and development of mineral deposits, either directly or indirectly, via companies, partnerships, joint ventures or interests in mining projects.

In particular, this objective will be met via the assessment of a range of mineral commodities and projects, with the view to spreading the risk associated with commodity cycles. Stirling Minerals Ltd’s strategy to fulfill these objectives is to utilise the Directors' experience in evaluating acquisition and investment prospects, quoted and unquoted, both in the Australia and overseas and are able to call on independent expertise in the sector.

The Company believes that its best chance for success is to focus on the Quidong Project which displays similarities with a variety of carbonate hosted Pb-Zn deposits, but also elemental associations more common in Carlin and other styles of metal deposits. The region has a strong base metals and gold association in the known deposits.

The Company is also mindful of mineral exploration and development opportunities that arise from time to time, not only in the Lachlan Fold Belt but in other mineral provinces throughout Australia and overseas. For that reason, the Company will maintain a watching brief on the industry and be prepared to take strategic positions as the opportunity arises. Opportunities identified by the Company will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Projects will be selected on the basis of their potential to become significant developments and therefore enhance Shareholder wealth;
  • Projects with likely capital market support; and
  • An attractive entry price
